The activity of analysis and study precedes, chronologically, the undertaking of any project, since OpenCom plans project interventions to offer concrete answers to issues previously detected and analysed. At the beginning of any project, the first phase consists in deepening the needs analysis, so that the results fully respond to the needs of users and produce benefits for all the Stakeholders involved.

OpenCom is engaged, with its international network, in qualitative and quantitative research aimed at understanding and evaluating the social, environmental, technological and economic changes that are the basis of the emergence of new needs both for individuals and for organizations in the labour market. Particular attention is paid to the processes of development (upskilling) and retraining (reskilling) of skills, as a response to the new challenges of contemporaneity and sustainability.
